Owen Patrick

Today was a big day for me and my family, my wife gave birth to Owen at 10:42 this morning. He came in weighing 9 pounds 10 ounces and measured 21 3/4 inches. Both he and Nikole are doing great.

I will be a little slow getting back to any email or phone calls for the rest of the week, but don't worry I have not forgotten about anyone. Here are a couple pictures from Owen's first few hours, I will post more over the next couple of days.

Laura & Dannie

On Saturday I shot an awesome wedding. Everything about Laura and Dannie's wedding was great. I absolutely love it when I get to shoot a wedding at St. Peter Lutheran Church in Richmond. It is one of the most beautiful churches around and gives me some great photo opportunities. The reception was also at one of my favorite places, Maniaci's. And Corey from Ultimate Sounds made sure that it was a great party.

But most of all I really enjoyed working with Laura, Dannie and their family and friends. I am blessed to work with such amazing people every week and this Saturday was as good as it gets. Great Wedding

Jacqueline & Eric

Saturday was the coldest day that I have ever documented a wedding, I have shot winter weddings in the past but nothing that had been as cold as it was Saturday. But I had a great time sharing Jackie and Eric's wedding day. They did not let the weather slow them down at all, including a quick photo shoot on the beach in Port Huron. The reception was at the fabulous Thomas Edison Inn in Port Huron and Jerry from Selective Sounds made sure it was a great party.

I need to thank Jackie and Eric for allowing me to be a part of their wonderful day and also all of their family and friends who were great all day. Watch the slideshow to see the day's highlights.

Braving the cold

I will be posting the slideshow from Jackie and Eric's wedding later this afternoon, but while you wait here is one of my favorite images of the day. The temperature was very close to 0 degrees and the wind was blowing off the lake when we decided to head out to the frozen sand beaches of Port Huron. This one turned out great, as did the others we took on the beach.
