New Blog?

This blog has served me extremely well for over a year, it has become more popular than my actual website and it is the best venue for viewing my current images. But there have always been a few things that I wanted to change. So after a long search and a bit of work getting things the way I wanted them to be I am nearly ready to launch the new blog. It should be ready to go online by the end of the week. Check back and let me know what you think.

Jessica and Josh

On Friday I was able to shoot Jessica and Josh's wedding at Tina's Country House. It was an emotional day for everyone involved and it was a great wedding.

Allison and Mike

Here is the slideshow from Allison and Mike's wedding. They had a really awesome wedding last weekend, their ceremony was at First Congregational Church in New Haven and Maniaci's hosted their reception. We also stopped by Wolcott Mill for some great portraits. Thanks again Allison and Mike, I had a great day!

Jennifer and Tim

I shot Jennifer and Tim's wedding last weekend but because of some computer troubles I have been unable to post their slideshow until today. It was a beautiful day, filled good times and great people. The wedding and reception were held at Jennifer's parents house outside of Richmond and it was the perfect setting. Thanks to Jennifer and Tim for being patient while we worked through our technical difficulties and for allowing me to share their day with them. Here you go.

Jennifer and Tim

I shot Jennifer and Tim's wedding on Saturday and it was great. The wedding was at Jennifer's parents house just outside of Richmond and even though it rained off and on for most of the day everyone had an awesome time. The slideshow is still coming, but here are a few of my favorites for now.

Monday's Shoot

Just a really quick post and a few images. On Monday I had an absolute blast with these three, kids are always so fun to shoot. Here are my favorites.

Lisa and Chris

Lisa and Chris were married on Saturday at St. Paul United Church of Christ. It was an absolutely beautiful setting, the church was built in 1894 and had a ton of character and some really great portrait spots. We were battling the rain all day, but once again managed to get some awesome outdoor pictures without getting soaked. We stopped by Blossom Heath for some bridal portraits before heading to Barrister Gardens for the reception.

Lisa and Chris, along with their family and friends were great and made my job really easy. Each week I think of how lucky I am to have the best clients in the world. Thanks again Lisa and Chris!

Lindsay and Ed

Saturday was an absolutely awesome day. It was an early start for me as I left for Ann Arbor at 7:30 in the morning for Lindsay and Ed's wedding. I had a blast the whole day, Lindsay, Ed and their family and friends made me feel welcome right from the start. The were married in one of the most beautiful churches around, Zion Lutheran Church in Ann Arbor. After the ceremony went to downtown Plymouth to capture some really great images. The reception was held at the Meeting House Grand Ballroom which was truly awesome. Lindsay and Ed, thanks for a great day and congratulations!

Tiara and Cerrome

On Friday evening I had the honor of shooting Tiara and Cerrome's wedding at Wahby Park and Blossom Heath in St. Claire Shores. The park was an outstanding setting for the wedding and Blossom Heath was excellent as usual. A couple of months ago we shot Tiara and Cerrome's engagement pictures in Detroit, I had so much fun then I knew their wedding would be fun. Thanks for a great time - congratulations!

Sarah and Rick - Engagement

Sarah, Rick and I met up at Yates Cider Mill in Rochester on Monday for their engagement pictures. Yates has some really great old buildings as well as some nature trails along a stream, it also happens to be where Rick asked Sarah to marry him. It turned out to be a really nice place to catch some awesome images of the two of them. Here are two of my favorites.

Amber and Matt - Engagement

Lately I have been shooting a ton in downtown Detroit, it is an absolutely awesome place to shoot. I try to challenge myself each time I go there to come up with new places to shoot and new ways to shoot at spots that I have been to in the past. I met up with Amber and Matt Sunday night and had a great time walking around, talking and shooting with them. Here are three of my favorites, let me know what you think by leaving a comment.

Lauren and Brian

Lauren and Brian's Wedding on Friday was great! For the second straight weekend big rainstorms were predicted and just like last weekend we ended up avoiding any major weather problems. The ceremony was held at the White House Wedding Chapel and the reception was at the Sterling Inn, both were amazing! Lauren and Brian, congratulations and thanks again.

Melissa and Robert - Engagement

Last week I met up with Melissa and Robert in what has become a very popular place for me to shoot, Comerica Park and the downtown area. There are so many great places downtown to shoot, I love it. Here are a couple of my favorites from last week.

Reggie and Mike

I have said before that I have the best clients around, I truly enjoy and love the work that I do each and every week. That said, there are some days, some weddings, some couples that really blow me away. Saturday was one of those days. Reggie and Mike were amazing, all of the small details, the weather - which held off just long enough - helped make the day great. Reggie's dress, which was hand made by her mom was awesome, the flowers by Crimson and Clover were great as they always are and everybody at Maniaci's made the reception perfect. The ceremony was at Heritage Gardens, then we mad the short drive to Rochester to get some great images.

Thanks again Reggie and Mike, I really had a great day!

Michelle and Jeff

Friday was a perfect day for Michelle and Jeff's wedding and a really great way for me to start the weekend. The weather was great, the church was awesome and the reception at the Gazebo was a lot of fun. To Michelle and Jeff, congratulations and thanks for letting me be part of your day.

Weekend Weddings

I shot a couple of really great weddings this weekend, I will have the slideshows ready tomorrow, but here are a couple of my favorites from the weekend.

Andrea and Ron - Engagement

It has been another great week, and I am getting ready to finish it of with two great weddings this weekend. Monday I met Andrea and Ron at Michigan Meadows Golf Club for a quick engagement session. The weather cooperated just enough and we were able to capture some great images. Here are two of my favorites.




Today I shot another engagement session in Detroit, I will have a couple of those posted early next week. I love shooting downtown, the weather was great and there were people everywhere. Jessica and Kenton

Last weekend I went to Jackson to shoot Jessica and Kenton's wedding. It turns out that the ceremony and reception were at the same locations as the first wedding I ever shot. The ceremony was at Jackson Free Methodist Church and the reception was held at the Potter Center. We also stopped at the Ella Sharp Park in Jackson for some portraits. Thanks you Jessica and Kenton for a great day.

Back to business

We finally got our power back yesterday evening and now I can begin to dig out of the backlog of work that piled up while we were in the dark. I will have a great slideshow posted sometime tomorrow. I will also be catching up with my emails and other daily business.

Power Outage

Saturday I shot Jessoca and Kenton's wedding in Jackson. It was a great, although very hot day. Normally I would have posted the slideshow of images today but we have been without power for over 30 hours now and may not get it back for another two days. Thankfully my iPhone has allowed me to stay connected somewhat and to make this post. Hopefully I can get somewhere tomorrow to plug in my laptop and hard drive and finish working on the slideshow.

Stephanie and Darren - Engagement

Sunday afternoon I caught up with Stephanie and Darren. They had suggested going to Goodells County Park. I had never been there before and really had no idea where it was. When I found it I was really happy, it is an awesome spot for pictures and I can't wait until I find an opportunity to shoot there again. I had a great time shooting Stephanie and Darren, here are a few of my favorites.
